Stylish Italians - Dolce & Gabbana

The high-end fashion house of Dolce & Gabbana was started by Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana, who were both Italian designers. They are famous for their designs that were worn in Hollywood. They have already designed clothes for many prominent movie and music icons such as Madonna, Monica Bellucci, Gisele Bündchen, Ayumi Hamasaki, Kylie Minogue and Isabella Rossellini. Their company is based nearby Milan in Legnano.

Dolce & Gabbana has two central lines that target on different appeals of taste. The first one is Dolce&Gabbana, which specializes on the more expensive luxury items. This line is a bit more influenced by designers, is more formal and is considered to be 'timeless', as it responds to long-term trends instead of just seasonal changes. This line also markets underwear, beachwear, corrective eyewear, fragrances and sunglasses.

The second line is D&G, which is the more casual line which follows an urban inspiration. It attempts to set trends instead of just following them. It has underwear, beachwear, fragrances, corrective eyewear, jewelry, sunglasses and timepieces.

The fashion label also has a separate line for children below 11 years of age. This is D&G Junior. It is similar to the adult line of D&G. The Junior label follows seasonal trends for children and is more influenced by popular culture.

Dolce & Gabbana has seven freestanding boutiques in the US. They are located in: New York City; Americana Manhasset located in Long Island; Beverly Hills; Las Vegas; Bal Harbour Shops located in Miami; and The Mall at Short Hills located in New Jersey.

The fashion label also has kiosks in numerous department stores, which includes Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Lord and Taylor and Saks
